FAQ

Q: Where can I find Duchessa Gelato?

A: Visit our website at DuchessaGelato.com and click on the SHOP page for current delivery locations, dates and times. Also, check out our social media to keep up with our special events and where you can find our carts all across North Dakota.

 

Q: Can I change my gelato order?

A: Yes. Please contact maartje@duchessagelato.com to make a change.

 

Q: Can someone else pick up my order for me?

A: Yes. If you trust someone else with your gelato!

 

Q: Can I pick up extra gelato when I come to get my order?

A: No. We do not bring extra gelato on our delivery route. However, you can email us with any special requests or catch our order next month!

 

Q: I forgot to pick up my order. Can I still get it?

A: Yes, you can come meet us at the farm in Carrington. Since we travel all across the state, we are unable to make special accommodations.

 

Q: When will you have your next pick up order?

A: We schedule regular monthly orders. Checkout the website or our social media for all news gelato related.

 

Q: How long will my gelato stay frozen after picking it up?

A: We deliver our gelato frozen solid. We do recommend bringing a cooler and ice packs if you have to travel further than across town, especially during our hot summers.

 

Q: How long will my gelato stay fresh?

A: Authentic artisan gelato should ideally be consumed within a matter of days. We churn all of our gelato fresh per order to follow this Italian tradition. We would love for you to enjoy it within a few days of delivery. However, if you must store it for longer periods of time, we recommend storing it in a deep freeze.

 

Q: Is gelato gluten free?

A: Gelato itself is gluten free. Many of our flavors will include gluten as an ingredient. That is why we denote our gluten free flavors with a “GF” symbol in our shop tab.

 

Q: Is gelato dairy free?

A: Nope! We are proud to offer our family’s milk as the main ingredient! We do offer Sorbettos (Italian sorbet) which are dairy free.

 

Q: Can I make a special flavor request?

A: We take all special requests seriously and sometimes offer them in future orders. Send us an email and we will see what we can do!

 

Q: Do you sell bulk gelato?

A: We do not typically offer bulk gelato. We are a small “mom and pop” business. We handcraft all of our gelato and are not designed to move bulk product.
